SPRING 2024 — PRESENT
• Maintaining, identifying, and preparing vertebrate fossil samples including birds,
mammals, and reptiles from the FM’s collections for cataloging.
• Working in prep lab to repair and clean fossils in various states of wear, performing partial
excavations, glueing shattered fossils, and identifying crushed bones.
Supervised by Dr. Bruce MacFadden, Rachel Narducci, and Aaron Woodruff
IMPS Astrobiology Lab — UF
FALL 2023 — PRESENT
• Leading a group of peers in examining chiral signatures in both vegetation and human
samples to develop a mobile circular polarized spectrometer for use on satellites and in
other astrobiology field work.
• Operating and examining UV, Argon, and Mercury light sources using spectroscopy. Trained
in hazardous waste management, laser safety, biomedical waste, bloodborne pathogens,
general biosafety, and chemical hygiene.
Supervised by Dr. Charles Telesco
Ultra Wide-band Feed Intern — Green Bank Observatory (GBO), First 2 Network
AUG 2021
Analyzed cyclostationary plots of data collected through the Green Bank Telescope (GBT).
Identified irregularities in plots to feed into an algorithm to train the new ultra wide-band
receiver to identify different sources of noise and mitigate Radio Frequency Interference (RFI).
Advised by Dr. Ryan Lynch
